I would recommend Conflict of Nations. Its in the same family as Supremacy 1914 and Call of War but the overall product feels more modern with its better Anti-Air and Radar systems.

Sad that Conflict is pay to win. Otherwise it would be the greatest browser based type game

Invest in the upgrades rather than Covert Operations. It's a relatively useless strategy and only viable in a handful of circumstances. It effectively turns your marines into cheap stealth defense units. But if that's your goal - just go PD/IF.

I still dont have Lift the Fog 2 and Longer Defensive Lines too. I can afford both, but I am thinking is Covert Operations a useful strategy? What does it do?

Back when i used to play this game, there was no need to rendez vous on forum. ww1 was up all day. RIP atwar

I think its largely due to the belief of stagnation. I used to play this game daily but there has been no updates of communications at all. the death of rp games signalled the fall. Even though we all know rp is cancer it brought in a lot of new blood and allowed people to develop. i havent seen a full rp game in ages, even ww1 is hard to fill. when i win the lottery i swear on my dog i will revive this game

Is the security side of things still so bad? What do you think about making the project opensource or enable some sort of modsupport so someone who wants can extend and build uppon what you created can put in some of his freetime aswell. There are still alot of people with love for this game and who would love to do stuff like this. This keeps communitys alive. You could even add a Shop/Database for mods or stuff (Like Microsoft Fligt Simulator or Minecraft) so people can get something out of this and you aswell.

Atwar is a one of a kind game, by far the most basic and easiest strategy game to play that I've ever found. I couldn't enjoy games like Hearts of iron because it's too complicated, Atwar is simple, build units and expand very simply compared to all the other strategy games making atwar one of a kind, I'm surprised it's not more popular as I personally find it to be the most enjoyable strategy game very underrated

no investment was made into this game, rather it was sold off. and the small community of amazing players dwindled as life consumed us all.

wish i could go back and play a few more clan wars against clovis and SM, and Laochra and his group.
