Alright, i'm damn sure Pinheiro made a topic on this a while back, but I couldn't find the old thread, so I started a new one. Basically, a few more UBB code additions would be nice. Especially ones like [spoiler] or [slideshow]. So is there any chance more could be added? Has more been added that aren't in the list?

I'd really like the [html] tag to work. At least in CLN forums ) :

I approve of this idea! I'd especially like a [spoiler] and a font changing function.

LOL, dude, the whole point of BB code is so people don't mess up the layout of the website by inserting malicious HTML code. That happened a lot in the early days of the internet and is a spectacle that must absolutely not be repeated!

Also, enabling it in CLN forums only by leaders i think it's ok.

Malicious can have many meanings. First, it can annihilate the layout. Second--not sure if this applies to HTML too but certainly does to JavaScript--it can actually attack your computer and extract data, not to mention being able to close the program on will, among other possibilities.

The point is that no-one except crackers knows HTML, perhaps except you and me. And my knowledge of HTML is very basic anyway. It's kind of annoying that they're moving all the HTML stuff into CSS and deprecating the tags though. ;_;

There already is a font changing function, although I'm not sure if people can see the changed font unless they have it installed, it's [font=____]

Yeah, I know there is... but obviously no-one uses it unless there's a selection box there. Unfortunately.

True. I usually don't use the selection box, as I have a pretty good knowledge of UBB, but I should have thought of that.

@The HTML, but I know a few basic things from it just by screwing with the Inspect element command, and I fiddled with it for a few hours. How much harm could an HTML command do? Sorry, not too familiar with it. Why not just make templates for things that could have been made in HTML?

If anybody seriously wanted to screw with the website, there are plenty of better ways than inserting malicious HTML code (root kits etc.)

The downside, I think, is that anybody can google a piece of malicious HTML code to insert, not just a stereotypical "hacker." I don't code HTML, but I work with a bunch of different C based languages.

This. Also, you clearly don't know what a rootkit is. We're talking about server security, not PC.

But anyway, we're going off-topic. This is about more UBB, which is a good thing. But HTML? Hell naw.

I was talking about automatic redirects to file hosts. I realize my wording was a little vague, lol
