Why is Angola such a first world nation?

You should always check other sources before believing what a media outlet says. Even your link, if you scroll down after reading the article, has a comment below explaining a different viewpoint claiming this article isn't all true. I'm not saying I believe any of the sources, but don't fall for sensationalist articles aimed at gaining attention. Look for independent verification over mere rumours.

Islam is a minority religion in Angola with about 80,000-90,000 adherents, composed largely of migrants from West Africa and Lebanon.[8] Over 95% of Angolans practise a form of Christianity.[10] The 2010 Angolan Constitution guarantees freedom of religion to all of its citizens.[8][11]

In 2004 it was reported that the Islamic terror network al-Qaeda had tried to enter the country through Muslim Non-Governmental Organizations. The Angolan government subsequently went on high alert.[12]

In February 2006, the Angolan government closed three mosques for holding services that authorities claimed disrupted public order by impeding the flow of traffic. Local Muslim leaders worked with INAR to negotiate an agreement which allowed all mosques to reopen by December 2006.

In September 2008 Muslims attacked a Christian community in the city of Andulo. The daughter of a church deacon was decapitated and 40 Christians assaulted and tortured and three church buildings were burned down.[13]

In October 2013, a mosque was destroyed in Viana, Luanda. Bento Francisco Bento, the governor of the province, said "radical Muslims are not welcome in Angola and the Angolan government is not ready for the legalization of mosques".

Assuming it's true, what's so bad about banning a criminal, violent, abusive religion?
