As the title says, I believe it would be beneficial for a moderator or supporter to take care of the tournaments, to collaborate with the tournament makers and even care for the tournaments to go smooth, to take care of the good functioning of the matches, thus doubling the tournament creator and taking care of stuff which maybe the creator isn't so interested to do. (like nagging the active players to do their matches)

What do you think? (moderators and supporters can be from the ones already chosen)

Generally, tourney organizers will request mods to support on an 'as needed' basis, often in times when a neutral or 'impartial' perspective is required. A lot of it depends on availability of the mod/supporter, but i have modded any number of games and disputes in tourneys. General rule of thumb is, go ahead and ask a supporter/mod. They aren't obligated to say yes, but many will say yes.

Since more organized tourney's can run without outside help (mods/supporters) this is generally the goal. Dispute mechanisms and timelines are included in the 'rules' of the tourney so players can enforce and make their own decisions. (For instance, perhaps the most common is 'nagging' to complete matches - organized tourneys will usually stipulate the conditions for forfeit, such as 'four consecutive days including Sat and Sun in which a player is unavailable can result in a forfeit.' These rules keep the tourney brackets moving and can be self-enforced, using ss's.
