Sudden loss

Was just in a game where the victory condition was to hold a capitol for 3 turns. I had captured a capitol on turn N, and on turn N+1, somebody captured mine. On turn N+2, I lost!

Is this a bug? Or is there some sore-loser code in the game?

did all your troop die? and you lost all capital city?
if you lose all your troop and don't have anymore city to produce, you automatically lose regardless of the victory condition
