International, as one of the more thought provoking posters on the forum, i'm a little surprised you may not have caught CD's not-so-subtle humour. It needs be said, i view anyone capable of exercising free will as one with god. So at the risk of raising eyebrows, both you and CD i would view as 'sovereign' and therefor 'gods' in my view. But regardless of that side note, i have found CD one of the most approachable and interactive mods in AW. The very fact he responds in this thread should be all the evidence you need to convince you this may be true.
However, CD can defend himself. (I'm more just agreeing with RPB... you may have misinterpreted his meaning, or perhaps you are answering in kind, using a humourous manner, but i don't get that sense.)
I also agree with you that mods are not nobility... but they can behave ignobly or nobly. I have little evidence that would suggest CD is on the 'low' end of that spectrum, so take care in not attributing CD with the traits of other mods. The phrase, 'With the exception of... ' comes to mind. ♥
Perhaps you also noticed that I'm a very blunt sort of person as well. Subtle humor doesn't really get to me much.
My point was, Columna Durruti distancing himself from the community (he apparently doesn't play with that account anymore) is completely absurd. As a moderator, he should be in the game more with actual players, not distancing himself by using an alt.
On another note, I stand corrected. Page 3 and still not locked.

Why you want it locked?
Columna is more active in forums, which is legit because we also need these kind of activinesses too. I feel like columna is more of a neutral moderator than some biased moderators.. ;_;

Columna is one of the best moderators in AtWar, in my personal opinion. That's very bad, because that means that most moderators are worse than Columna.

Well I think you mean ''best'' as in in person right. Columna is a great guy I agree with that no doubt about it. Sometimes a trolly comment here, sometimes a hilarious comment there. But with that said I still think acq is the #1 mod when he relates to the community. He helps with some problems and chitchats with alot of people. Most of the other mods are actually quite and just afk in lobbies. Which I think is a shame, because now all I see is Chess sometimes play a 3v3 or duel a day or two. Desu/cthulhu/devil cwing once or twice a week and training with their clan. But thats actually it. The rest comes online 5 mins and goes offline again. I remember when pinheiro used to play hours of worldgames together with me, same with vril/caulerpa and plenty of others.. ;_;

Best as in moderator. A moderator can be a rude and bigoted mess of a human being, but as long as he is a good moderator, I could not care less.
Of course, the qualities of a good human being has many similarities with the qualities of a good moderator, but there are a few key differences.
I play this game when everyone (read: east coast Americans) sleeps, so I can't comment on how often mods are online. Suffice to say that it's a good week for me if I see one moderator online for five minutes one night of the week.

DeviL was one of my favorite players long before the moderation team got there claws in him and he's still a great guy unlike one unmentioned mod who I once loved ;_; Who decided he hated me for my antics I sometimes become involved in. (SRBisILLUMINATI) hint hint
You talk as if Devil got kidnapped I barely know about mod's past so I can't say anything about it, I just know some of their present.

Columna Durruti is indeed one of the friendliest and most approachable moderator that is.
There's a serious problem right there, isn't there? If Columna Durruti, who isn't particularly friendly or approachable, is one of the friendliest and most approachable moderator in the game, what does that say about the other moderators?
Hm... I think you got it wrong. Columna ACTUALLY IS friendly (at least that's what my little experience with him tells me ) But I do agree that I barely know anything about the other mods, they seem to be a bit introvert in my most personal opinion. That's the worry I'm trying to comunicate here.

Maybe you should first ask his reason for playing with an alt instead of stating such attack towards him (just a suggestion). Besides, I think I know now which is his alt thanks to himself

It's not my job to argue his position for him. Besides, even if it was, I can't think of any good reason why Columna would do such an awful thing.
No matter what he does, I'll still keep supporting him as a mod as long as he has that cool cat avatar of his.

Not being able to think of a reason for yourself doesn't mean anybody else can't XD yet, you shouldn't describe it as such a terrible event, at least he plays right? And I guess the average caregiver in your neighbourhood must be totally cool in order to state such thing XDD

First of all thanks for the good words, most important you are expressing your opinion which is realistic not modified.
To those who aren't informed, I'm pretty active, log on many times (different parts of the day). It is true that I'm focused more on the community, helping people, maintaining order and solving problems. At the same time I teach players, make training sessions and summon new competitive players as I did in the past.
I play clan wars, just you log on the wrong time when I'm not playing. Meanwhile I lead successfully the clan, spread positive atmosphere, encourage new players to step on the competitive scene, boost clan mate's moral... I usually let other fellow members play instead of me so they get a chance to feel adrenaline. Also I keep playing public game, so you are totally wrong waffel.
Every mod is doing his role on the best way, I know all of them from the start of afterwind. We got different personalities and act differently. Everyone got a different type of moderating and prefer some specific sectors (forum, mapmaking, abuses, bugs, statistics, public games, clan wars, ect.) - like different positions in soccer, making us a well organized team covering everything. All of us are busy with real life, sometimes we are out of time and mega busy but still we log to help AW (also keep in mind that moderating is a voluntary job and it isn't really easy to moderate and keep playing at the same time when you got a fixed and full schedule ). CD is a great guy which spares so much time moderating and no one can blame him in any way. He is a kind of person who can't just play when there are so many quest to solve in the community, so he spares his time to moderate (which is an awesome act from him). And one more thing I can say, since we are getting more and more new players, we could use help of at least one more mod to cover the time zone which isn't covered and aid us in daily moderation since there are so many issues to solve (it is pretty hard when a lot of players spam one mod and he wants to solve all but due to a huge amount of private messages and reports he might miss some and be a bit slow).

You, old chap, aren't god, unfortunately.
You are a leader, simultaneously the developers' representative in the community and the community's representative with the administrators. As such, I feel that it is important for the moderators, and this includes you, to interact with the community and just be generally friendly and approachable. Moderators are not nobility. They are representatives.
I get the feeling CD was joking,
This.

How much time does your moderating responsabilities take you daily (aproximately)?? Would you say it's a stressful job for you??

Thanks for the support raul but I'm happy with my position and I enjoy helping the community.
Hmmm nice question :thumbup: I can't tell you exactly the time in minutes/hours but I moderate 2/3 of my daily AW session. It depends, sometimes we are full with issues and quests to solve so we need more time to moderate, sometimes we got less things to solve so it varies. When you start moderating as a new mod you will need some time to catch up, but after a while you will handle everything easily. I want to express my gratitude to all players which are helping us daily with reports, private messages (official supporters and those working from the shadow).
Moderating isn't stressful for me since I'm calm and don't fall on provocations. Only thing is that you need to be dedicated to moderating and do your best to help everyone and treat all the same way. Also I'm a kind of person who prefer speaking to people and asking them to stop politely with more warnings if needed. If the person continue to abuse and ignore everything small punishments are more effective than big ones (if you make a bigger punishment you will make that people act hostile and repeat the abuse x2, also you have to think about that person and put yourself in his position - would you like to be punished that hard and what way would you feel).
This is my point of view and thinking, people can express opinions about me so I won't write anything else about me.

It's really obvious comparing you with Desu that there's a really big variety of thoughts inside the moderating group. I'm not sure how do you guys agree between yourselves about the proceedures you guys should follow for certain circumstances. Isn't that a drawback in a certain way when you need to decide something as a group?

They are diferent as you said, and they get along because mods like Desu and Meester are people of action and they make things happen, while mods like DeviL are more passive and play more of a supporting role in moderation, not saying either way is typically wrong, but I would not mind if mods like Desu took players opinions into consideration more often.
