I am really tired of constantly losing games because I always get bad rolls, or I get turn blocked by 1 unit, so why don't you make an option to turn off those in settings before the start of a game? That means better strategist will always win. Unit that was sent to tb a stack will now just attack a city after opponent has moved units that he wanted to move from that city, and 1 destroyer wont fail against 1 militia because all units will attack/defend with their maximum roll (critical hits could be removed also). This would make a bigger difference between people with upgrades and people without them, but that is why this should be an option. It would mainly be used in competitive matches. So what do you think? Edit: OK, I agree that tbs are part of the game, but I still dont like rolls so then make an option only to remove rolls...

Turnblocks are the part of this game, but critical where 15 inf and 15 inf attack both neutral and one wins by 3 is just ridiculous

agree, but sometimes they are lame, maybe make 2 options then, or only for rolls... i think rolls are bigger problem than tbs

You can't remove TBs, its impossible. Units will always reach their target when it comes to cities, but what happens when 2 units target each other? Who will defend/attack? Either 1 turn blocks the other, or none of them move.

God, that sounds boring. Lets take all randomness out of the game and have it so whoever has practiced the best/same expansion over and over and over will win. Really not surprising at all a EU 3v3er made this suggestion. Autistic.

Maybe no rolls in custom maps (not in default due to what Aetius said)

Define what makes you a better player. Just for the record, i believe memorizing moves is not a qualification.

Turnblocks cannot be removed due to the nature of game mechanics.Rolls however i support their removal.Rolls suck.Rolls are for noobs.

Basicly ...this idea can be made by cloning europe and removing criticals from units right?

11.11.2014 - 13:58 :( No, because rolls is what determines everything in the battle mechanics, taking rolls from atwar is like playing risk without a dice. But making the rolls less random could be enough.

What happens if two players with the same strategy, attack with the same units a neutral city without rolls? i think you should just leave the game as is, if you have bad rolls then bad luck its part of the game.

Lol... how could you guys possibly say remove rolls? Just like tunder says, taking rolls from AW is like playing risk without dices, a.k.a. impossible? I think the main reason of OP rols is, all the extra bonus crap those units get, for example, PD inf gets 2x deffend or 1x what is it? for just sitting in city, then extra deffense when attached with general, AND then the extra general upgrades. LOOL.
