It may be about money for ivan and amok, BUT FOR US its more than that, its lots of good memories, lots of friendships that got extended into real life.
I hate to see this go down, this is part of me, and i do anything to save this part that i need. cause life would never be the same without this little things that brought us together bros. don't sit idly and watch this disaster and nag about it.

We must take control, i will struggle to Buy this game from them. i will do it anyway, with or without your helps. and when i did i will find good admins and mods that actually CARE about this game.. cause to them it won't be a game, it will be a family gathering ...

___-- SEND PM TO YOUR BROS, LINK THEM TO HERE --___

The game isn't dying ... there are several players who would love to see the game fail after they were perma-banned, and while they have managed to cause some disruptions, the game persists. If it were going to die it would have done so by now. The fact is, despite the recent short-comings, it is still a solid and fun game that people love to play. ♥

I think maybe a crowd funding project to just hire someone who is decent at programming to finish us the map editor and fix other problems, I'm assuming Amok has tried to reuse code from SL so its probably a mess but we need that map editor.. that is the core of these problems.

The core is the lack of compatibility with Chrome and absent devs. I bet you more than half the people cracking jokes and complaining about map editor have never used it in their life.

The game just needs to be updated. You can switch to Chromium which is faster but the same as Google Chrome anyways.

Any proposal can be made in writing to ivan@afterwind.com; for what its worth a crowd funding project as nice as it sounds I fail to see how the dynamics would work - and sounds very complicates not to mention expensive, with the core demographic being male 15-24 the idea of generating in excess of$70k of capital, is highly unlikely in a community the size of 1000 people.

Those that claim $70k is overvalued should consider the business model runs in solid profit and a return within 3 years is highly likely.

The game needs some form of outside capital and developers with time and a marketing team structure.

Ok this is really helpful now, i need more information like this
"... not to mention expensive, with the core demographic being male 15-24 the idea of generating in excess of$70k of capital .." this worries me too, if i couldn't get the help i need from our community here, then I'm planning to get investors, small game companies, private investors. people that are interested in the idea etc...
70K is sure expensive but as you said this game has the potential to earn back more than its worth at the moment with good leadership and planning.

This game will never fall. but don't you agree that it is moving downwards somehow?!
This game can see better days again, the potential is there, Ivan and Amok created a masterpiece , timeless in its nature, people can enjoy it 20-30 year from now!

I think its unfair that people who want to join the game now, cant even stay for long to feel the same about it as we do, they get sick of the conditions and leave before they become part of the family like most of us did back in the years we played at war. they see many problems and leave forever with a bad memory in their mind.

if everything was working fine, our family could get bigger everyday. i have 0 doubts about that.

and about ->"there are several players who would love to see the game fail after they were perma-banned" this people are non of our concern now

the map editor was the start, a lot of people leave because there's nothing new and fun to play, I originally only brought premium for the map editor but yes you are right.. the death of chrome and just the load of mother fucking bugs... is killing the game even more now

Lets not lose calm bro ^_^
I never got bothered by the bugs thou. Bugs are not the Big problem. they can get fixed.

the question is how we want to fix Ivan & Amok absence !

Plan C is hacking the game and make a similar one for our own xD both cheaper and easier to do than buying it (Last Resort)

Yes spending 70K on something without planning it thru is absolutely stupid.

there are lots of planning to do before we get to the paying part. we don't want to gamble our money on something and make it worst than it is. if i realize what I'm doing gonna harm the game more then i will absolutely stop doing it. I'm thinking of something that can fixes our problems the least difficult possible way

the perfect guy to run a multiplayer online game should be a programmer fixing bugs himself making new payment packs keep the game active and updated every week can be a good investment cause this is a game running already and 70k are not that much for someone who has free time at home doing programming .if i was 1 i would buy it without thinking twice. but most of web dev find jobs this days and 1 of them is safari he would be the perfect guy to run this game with another supporting him with payment part ,to bad he has a good job.thats why u need a permanent programmer not someone who can just fix the editor part.

Players in lobby in the most visited times (8-10PM CET)-27. In 2014 in the same period of day, around 200 players were in Lobby. I e koy this game even now, so i must agree with you, but it is stressing that we need to wait around 30mins to fill 8-11 players game. I like that 2-3 times a week Sun makes sp drop world, sadly 20players world cannot fill any other way
I think that this game just needs admins to take care of it, because it will die if they continue like this. Also, if Amok doesnt know to program on html5, they should get some professional programmer to finnish up mapeditor, SL editor is laggy, map saving is very long. For the good of admins too, they must finnish mapeditor because they can be marked as scammers and this game and its site could be taken down...

For lazy people, in short. Game is enjoyable yet, player base is smaller and smaller, amok and ivan must take care of the game and finnish mapeditor.

Here is what to do. go to one of those big video game conventions. with hat in hand. all the people that work on the big games, had to have started somewhere with a dream. there is a lot of money floating around out there. all it would take is one investor with the cash to help take this game to the next level. because there is another level for it to go too.

That crossed my mind too, there is no doubt that we need a permanent programmer or maybe a team of them. someone good and active..

unreasonably expensive (the only reason we bought premium cause we cared and wanted to support) but i don't see a reason why should the newbies do that , i agree with you. the fact that it is so expensive is why 60% of players on atwar never bought premium.
i got to figure out how much money does it cost to maintain the game, how much it does make each month or per year. then the prices can get adjusted / balanced. HOPEFULLY

the other thing is programmers won't work for free. and are hard to trust xD i don't want to make this game worst than it is. what I'm paranoid about.
i got some influence in a gaming company but without ivan responding to me i cant take things to the next level.
