No

why not?

Since he took office......
The workforce participation rate is down,
the military has been scaled back while China and Russia build up and get increasingly aggressive,
bullshit like the TPP has been passed
Obamacare was forced through congress despite being unconstitutional
his responses to several tragedies and disasters have been a joke
he allowed that huge wave of illegal aliens that crossed the border a few months back to stay
he prematurely pulled us out of Iraq, leading to the rise of ISIS
his strategy for fighting ISIS is a joke and hasn't even dented the fuckers
his support for the Iran deal will allow them to build a nuke
he alienated Israel, one of americas closest and most important allies
I could go on, but for now all I'll say is at least it wasn't Hillary Clinton

Most of his attempts to fund clean energy where catastrophic failures because like most politicians, he does what makes him look good, not what economists suggest. He likes solar and wind power, but that can't be mass produced to cover all energy needs. Nuclear energy is where the focus should be, because that will last a few hundred years and can easily provide power to the whole country.

Yes, but that's a technological development. Any implementation of fracking is at state level and controlled by state government (and of course the private industry), not the president. He really didn't have anything to do with that.

ok, thank you

With problems in America piled up in the last 20 years ($18 tril. debt), you can't criticize Obama, as other people on his position would do the same.

He is not important anyways. He can't change or reform America to repair the damage. As in third stage of Capitalism which America is going through - country is led (controled) by lobbies. Military lobby, economic/corporation lobby, bank lobby, Wall Street lobby, random investment groups (anonymous normally). They all have power provided by their position and contacts. They decide Americas budget, Americas spending, Americas wars, Americas enemies, allies, and the rest. Corporations use money they earn to bribe senators to create bills and pass laws which suit them, while recently all above-mentioned groups started boldy using money coming from taxes to bribe officials and politicians, thus preserving their earned money.

Therefore one man like Obama have no say in America. He can reject laws, but then expect propaganda in media tomorrow as media is private and owned by lobbies. They can easily set him up and remove him, like they did with Nixon. But American presidents don't care as they are at helm of strongest nation and they recieve 'for charity' money from lobbies, so he will end up like rich man and his name will be written in history. Why would he go against lobbies in America and risk his future or even life (and lives of his family).

Wealth always create lobbies and interest groups, that's why country need laws to show them what is legal so they don't end up persecuted. Funding politicians to change laws so you can sell more nonquality products with astronomical prices is illegal. Creating media propaganda to slander politicians who oppose corruption is illegal.

Similar problem Russia had. Just there were 'oligarchs' who didnt' quite organized in lobbies since they didn't care to waste time securing their future as rich men controling the country from the shadow, petting cat. That's why it was easier to take them down one by one. In America that would be harder, since they are organized in lobbies, groups and have contacts.

Excuse my nitpicking please, but this is relevant to my interest. May I ask why you are under the assumption that solar and wind power can not be mass produced? What might be your source?

The president is merely a figurehead for the American public to point fingers at and blame for the wrongdoings of their Congress.

You can't blame Ovomit without blaming the entire corrupt American government.

Solar is incredibly expensive, needs a lot of maintenance, and has very low output relation to capacity. The only reason it is used at all anywhere is government subsidies.

actually i'm living in south israel and we have tons of solar farms here, lot of kibutzs are building them not for energy but in order to sell the electricy and make profits

Just a simple comparison of price per megawatt. (2007 California Average, which is a fair sample for US)
Advanced Nuclear: $67
Coal: $74-88
Gas: $87-346
Geothermal: $67
Hydro power: $48-86
Wind power: $60
Solar: $116-312
Biomass: $47-117
Fuel Cell: $86-111
Wave Power: $611

http://www.energy.ca.gov/2007publications/CEC-200-2007-011/CEC-200-2007-011-SD.PDF

Note that this does not include the price of equipment and maintenance.

Wind tends to operate at under 30% capacity.
Solar tends to operate at under 20% capacity.
The rest operate around 90% capacity.

http://www.windustry.org/how_much_do_wind_turbines_cost
http://www.nrel.gov/docs/fy13osti/56776.pdf
http://en.openei.org/apps/TCDB/

Solar is incredibly expensive, needs a lot of maintenance, and has very low output relation to capacity. The only reason it is used at all anywhere is government subsidies.

Biomass might be good, but people hate it, so it'll never work.

Cheapest options are wind, geothermal, hydro, and nuclear. The first three are very area specific. If you don't put them in the right spot, no output. That leaves nuclear as the cheapest, viable option.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, Natural Gas prices are about half what they used to be, so remember to adjust that.

Alright, thank you for elaborating.
