In a age-long conflict between the Palestine and Israel, whom do you support? Explain why, give reason for your support.

I voted Israel.
Why? There was actually no Palestine or Palestinian - ever. Ignorant or anti semitic people are the ones who claim there is. Palestine is a name given to this region by the Roman authorities during the period of the Roman occupation. The reason Romans changed it from Israel to Palestine was due to continuous rebellions of certain Jewish sects against the Roman authorities - Jews were the indigenous people of that region you see ? The name was also chosen deliberately because it sounded similar to a name of a Biblical nation called Philistines who were the historical enemies of the Jewish people and who resided in that region when it was still called Canaan. This nation was long since extinct by that time but the idea was that the given name would hypothetically represent the fact that Jews never really won or owned that land because even in the Roman time it carries the name of their enemies. Since the Roman time the name stuck because many of the later scholars and historians used Roman maps that were left from that era. As for Arabs who today adopted the name Palestinians, those people have absolutely no relation to the Biblical Philistines neither ethnically nor culturally. Neither do they carry any relation or connection to the Jews that inhibited this area back during that period or to the occupying Romans. And here we come to the main question - What the hack is Palestine and who the hell are Palestinians then? If anything palestinians are Jews. How do those Arab fall into the picture is beyond me. I mean I do know how but it has nothing to do with the name they make a claim of affiliation with.

Why the Arab world declared "war of annihilation on the Jewish state and extermination of its people" against the newly recognized Jewish state after the UN partition resolution?

Why the "Palestinian" people didn't establish their own state on Gaza and West Bank before 1967, when those lands were held respectively by Jordan and Egypt for 19 years?

Why the Palestinian identity rise on surface after Israel took over those lands after 1967?

If the Arab world say their reason for the previous wars was to free Palestine, what can explain all the wars that they have lunched befor3 1967, isn't it breaking the international law?

The Maori and the English signed a treaty which created New Zealand, sure there were a lot of issues surrounding that but we've managed to preserve our culture and move forward with the world today. See this is called diplomacy, we asked for help to keep the french and other Europeans away from stealing our land and in return we joined the Empire and that's how it has been since, we've become a independent country but out of respect and cultural significance we've kept the British Monarch as our head of state. The only difference is between all of those countries you named and Israel is that they took their land and managed to keep it where as the Israeli's were long since kicked out... heck is the population there even related to the ancient Israeli's ? the last president was from Poland or some shit wasnt he... and I'm not a muslim or religious at all... my country supports all religions unlike yours.

Big part of the Jewish people didn't mingle with outsiders, so yes those are the descendents of the ancient Israelis. Israel seek for peace and even gave up on lands for it, check Camp David Accords for that matter. The peace with Jordan didn't come without diplomacy, neither did Oslo accords. However the Arabs have alternative plan to destroy Israel and it's by using "Palestine" as a card to achieve that. Therefore the process is more complicated than that of New Zealand.
Israel allow freedom of religion. Doesn't matter which religion, you can practice anything you want under the Israeli law, can we say that about most of the Arab and Muslim countries? And on top of being hypocritical you deny being a Muslim when you're. Ashamed of being associated with that religion? I understand. Who wouldn't.

There are literally news reports of Israel banning worship in their occupied Palestinian territories because it's too loud, Also I'm not ashamed of being associated with that religion I am simply not a muslim, I binge drink every weekend and have no interest in giving up pork. My country is simply known for standing up for those who are defenseless, We send our peacekeepers abroad to help rebuild communities and protect those who have no way of defending themselves. Which is more than what this precious Israel have done, I don't know how people on this game can be so ignorant and retarded... I was never a muslim in the first place, My father isn't religious at all and my mother was a mormon when she was younger. Just because I do not support Terrorist Israel it doesn't mean I am muslim... I'm simply standing up for the defenseless here which is what they teach us in my country.

There are too many factors to bear in mind and to analyse the entire reach of this conflict and its historic reasons. Some reasons might even be so old they should have expired and other might be partially invented by both sides. Who are we to decide which side is right considering all the complexities involved in such trial? Are you guys implying to be that intelligent...?

Why the heck should I even support any side in a conflict? It's a conflict, there shouldn't even be one to begin with!

The only real reason for most western people to support Israel is due to Germany's responsability in WW2... or to use it as a strategic position (USA's case).
