I think everyone is missing the point of the original post...

The original point was that we have lots of active mods, but those mods are based in similar timezones, therefore they will most likely be sleeping and inactive at the same time for the same 6-8 hours everyday. These 6-8 hours are left with little to no moderators online. If moderators based in Asian timezones were hired, it wouldn't affect any of us since they'll be sleeping while we're playing and moderating while we're sleeping give or take a couple of hours.

For example I am up at 2am right now where I live in, 8am in UK so most of us are sleeping yet it's 3pm in China.

To be fair we do need mod or tow imo. having mostly the same group of mods (4) online at the same time in preticular timezone while the rest of the time there is no mod online is a joke. we do need a mod. but w/e

Well, unless things are blowing up, I don't see a reason for a new mod. And I lol'd at Tik Tok being mod.

I don't understand the AW community (actually I do, but it's funny): there was a thread recently criticizing mods and demanding more freedom. From Gardevoir himself. Then he comes in this thread and asks for more mods.

Is shit blowing up during the hours with no mods? Are people spamming like hell? Or you guys just want to feel safe and watched with a mod online if anything happens?

There are definitely times later in my day that players get out of control on [gl]/[help]/[radio] chat. I can tolerate quite a bit, but some players are crossing the line and creating a hostile playing environment.

My opinion on Moderation changes every day, don't even bother paying attention to me on that subject, lel.

we need at least one or tow mods from middle east or east/central europe we have enough mods online on the american timezone but rarely in the european/asian timezone

Im going to be on monday thru friday for the next 4 years excluding summers. My school system is stupid and gave everyone macbooks. Ive bipassed all there proxys and can play whenever i want or do whatever i want.

Macbooks? They done goofed. In fact, why not Ubuntu? It's free, so no need to spend 100+ dollars. And it gets the job done, right?

I don't actually think we need any new mods atm, but if I was to suggest a few names then these guys fit the bill.

The Tactician - really friendly guy, genuinely enjoys the game and is a good representation of newer players. Maybe not as knowledgeable about the game but I don't think rank/skill should make you a better mod.

Chess - Clearly well respected amongst the community.

Desu - Like chess respected, has a wealth of knowledge.


I really can't think of anyone else tbh, a few names did pop into my head like bertanK and Terminal, but these three are probably the best shout atm.

Also really mods should be be on incognito accounts, Fruit did identify the problem with that but I think for newer players it really isn't an issue.
