My angles are always so wide like an equilateral triangle... the game doesn't like me. :-(

Don't be afraid to have the lines touching your city. As long as they're slightly to the side of the city they'll protect it.

That's not what I'm saying.

The game auto adjusts the lines so the two closer armies end up drawing a line between them.

I end up with a retarded L instead of a wedge. :-(

What I like to do is setup streams of lines. Now, sometimes they can link so the best way to avoid this is to the linked defender and re attach it to the line you want it attached to.

Not easy to explain.

I don't really have a problem with auto adjusting. It might be because of the way I do it.

The easiest way that I've found is to put the two at the base end (not the point) of the triangle so close together that they cant form a defensive line. It will automatically join the point end.
You just have to get it inside the minimum range of the defensive line without it joining your other unit.

(I know this is necrothread but since it's up here i'm going to post what I do anyways) I always put my first militia just at the top point of the North pointing side of the star that is a capital city. When doing it this way, it is very difficult to mess up the rest of the wall, as it's difficult to get the second militia to wall with the first at any spot other than the perfect spot. It's also nice to have an exact refference point instead of estimating each time.
