Footnote after a player name????

Some players have a footnote of either 1 or 2 after their name. Can someone tell me what that means?

If it's not what Darkmace said then what you're referring to is probably the small 1 or 2 that is to the top right of a players name in some games, the number only appears in team games, all members of team 1 have a small 1 next to their name, players on team 2 will have a small 2, and so on
