The AW website is godawfully standards-incompliant. Just running the home page through the W3C validator returned a massive 801 errors and 16 warnings.

This is what makes the AW site so terrible for browsing on mobile devices and using several different browsers. Please fix this (the HTML-Tidy program is your friend). And FYI, you can make mobile sites just using CSS.

Don't give us the BS about how standards 'make sites ugly'. You can make damn fine-looking websites without using deprecated tags. Hell, the W3C's website uses the ancient XHTML 1.0 Strict specification, but it is fully compliant and looks bloody gorgeous. Please ensure your reboot of AW has a better website.

YOBA, if I had a nickel for every time you act like you know everything, I'd be fucking rich. Not just rich actually, I'd be able to buy Microsoft, Google, Facebook and there would be money left for me to party with Russian whores in St. Petersburg. I used the plural - whores. Multiple. Not two, not three, but eight and more. And from different regions too, Americans, British, Germans, Indians, Australians, Norwegians, Finnish and Swedish. With the flight costs for all of them, from Rio to St. Petersburg (for me) and the my stay at a 5 start hotel covered.

Ok, now for the reasonable part: the site isn't at a critical usability point - the community is centered around the forums and half the action happens here, as you said (though I don't agree), but there isn't a majority of players who are screwed by this. Of course, having a standards-compliant site, with a responsive design and all that jazz would be awesome, but I hardly believe it should be a priority right now. And even when Ivan and Amok finish releasing AtWar, I still hardly believe it should be changed, just because it would take recoding the entire website and it would be hardly noticeable for the end user.

I don't consider the phrase "massive fag" to be an insult. Mods did.

Whatever. Got layout bugs in some obscure browser? Send a screenshot, I'll try to fix it. If it looks fine, who cares if the code is standards-compliant or not? Certainly not me.

Works perfectly everywhere I used it, even in Windows Phone 7. Not sure what you use, but perhaps it's the problem.

True, I never had any problems with the website no matter if I was on my phone, using different browsers etc. Although, it could be a bit more "friendly" for mobile devices but nothing too important imo.
